Risør Art Park – A creative center

Risør Kunstpark was established in the 90s and has become one of the best exhibition venues for contemporary art, crafts and design in Southern Norway. The art park houses 15 studios for professional artists, in addition to exhibition spaces and a café. Exciting exhibitions are held throughout the year, where both local and national artists display their works. Risør Kunstpark is more than just an exhibition space – it is a meeting place for artists and the public, creating a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere in the city. Visitors can experience various art projects, or even see artists at work in their studios.

Galleri Villvin – Arts and crafts in the city center

Galleri Villvin has been a central player in Risør's art scene for over 30 years. The gallery represents over 100 artisans from all over Scandinavia, and offers a wide range of works in ceramics, glass, metal, wood and textiles. Galleri Villvin has a great importance for Risør's artistic identity, and the gallery is open all year round. They also organize the annual Villvin Art Fair , which attracts professional artisans and visitors from all over the Nordic region to Risør.

Gallery Fire Tower

Risør municipality built the fire tower in the 1880s as a warning center for the city. From the upper floor of the tower there are windows with a view of the entire city. There were two men on night duty here. Until 1968, when the fire station at Frydendal was put into use, there was a warning test with siren every Wednesday at 13:00. The old control center still hangs on the wall. Today the fire tower is used as an art gallery, open to the public in July.
