Erlend Viken Trio - Risør Art Park
Erlend Viken Trio is on a record release tour, and Foreningen Finstemt is pleased to announce that they will be coming to Risør Kunstpark on Saturday, November 23! With Hardanger fiddle, electric guitar and double bass, Erlend Viken Trio presents folk music with a unique sound; based on Norwegian tradition, and with inspiration from improvisational music, rock and desert blues.
The trio has played concerts in large parts of Europe, and through their energetic live performances have gained many fans across genre boundaries. The previous album, "Fete slåtta" (nominated for the Spellemannprisen in 2023), consisted only of traditional songs. This album project inspired Erlend and gave him new ideas for how to compose music for the trio.
The result is the album "Ville Veier" which contains 7 new compositions and 2 traditional songs.
