Norwegians love to fish, and Norway is the country in Europe with the most recreational fishermen. The hunt for the black gold, the lobster, has become a very popular activity among recreational fishermen. Johanna brings the latest news from the field of lobster research to Kristiansand. If you are curious about the ins and outs of a lobster, the history of fishing or how the lobster population is doing, or perhaps you know a lobster fisherman you want to impress, then this is the place for you. About the speaker: Johanna Marcussen, grew up lobster fishing in Southern Norway and is now a doctoral fellow in marine biology at the University of Agder and the Institute of Marine Research. Her main interest is the intersection between fisheries and marine conservation. She is one of Norway's representatives in the working group on lobster and crab in the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea and is currently working on population estimation of lobsters.
