Grafting is a form of cloning, where plant tissue from two different plants is joined together. Grafting is an ancient technique, which probably originated somewhere in the East.
With grafting it is possible to create many trees of the same variety, or several varieties on the same tree.
At the grafting course you will learn which trees can be grafted onto what, how to grow your own rootstocks, grafting techniques, cutting exercises, and building and shaping a new tree.
Grafting is an exciting activity to do in your own garden. At the same time, it is useful knowledge to spread, so that new trees can be created from scratch and old trees can be preserved.
The course runs over two evenings, March 26th and April 23rd.
The first evening of the course contains theory and practical grafting training. The second evening of the course we create our own fruit trees.
Included in the course you will receive 4 basic courses and a compendium.
Duration approximately 3 hours on both course evenings (total approximately 6 hours).
