This is a gift to the people of Risør. Anna-Sabina is a social worker, author and social debutante. She has been given a small house on Tangen to write at Christmas. In return, the landlord wanted her to give something back to Risør. And that is why she comes just before Christmas and talks about the book "Vi fattigfolk", in conversation with Mari Nymoen. "That is not the story I want to tell you. The one about having to travel and learn to be something other than yourself. The one about the class trip (...) I want to write about how you are actually good enough. Already. Anna-Sabina Soggiu grew up in a municipal block of flats in Tøyen in Oslo. This is her story, told to a young boy who lives in the same block today.Vi fattigfolk is a story about being poor and being ashamed of it. About being perceived as a problem, when the real problem is the help you haven't received. It's also a story about standing together, stopping keeping quiet, and telling the truth about reality as it is, in the hope of creating change.
