Beyond Risør is back in November with the annual, inspiring design event that focuses on Risør's identity and future possibilities. This year, Beyond Risør week, known as Pop-up Campus, will bring together 60 students from Kristiania Vocational School in week 46.

Through design methodology, the students will explore Risør's identity, and look at how the city can be further developed in the future. This year's project offers a special opportunity to see the city through young, creative eyes.

It all culminates with a presentation at the City Hall on Thursday, November 14th at 12:00 , where the students will showcase their creative solutions and ideas for the future of Risør. This event gives the public an opportunity to experience how design and entrepreneurship can contribute to creating a new vision for the city.

What is Beyond Risør?

Beyond Risør is an annual design event that brings together students, professionals and the local community to explore new opportunities in design and entrepreneurship. The project was started to create a creative laboratory where future designers can have the opportunity to work on real-world challenges in a local community.

Risør's identity - Focus for 2024

The theme for 2024, "Risør's Identity", addresses the question of what truly defines this city. What makes Risør unique, and how can the city leverage its cultural and historical strengths to meet the challenges of the future? This year's assignment will give students the opportunity to delve into Risør's history and engaged local community, and use this as inspiration for their solutions.
