In week 47, Risør is filled with energy, brainstorming and creativity when 65 students from Kristiania Vocational School and the University of Agder take over the city for Beyond Risør Pop-up Campus 2025. Over the course of a week, the students will work with real challenges from Risør's business community - and develop ideas that can help shape the city's future.
This year, seven local companies are each taking on a challenge:
TeamTec , Galleri Kunstparken , Resolve , Embla , Jegertunet , Østebø Farm and Galleri Villvin .
Students will use methods from design, graphic communication and entrepreneurship to explore new solutions, products and concepts - and at the same time learn how professional knowledge can be put into practice.
Through Pop-up Campus we get a unique outside perspective on the city. How is Risør experienced by young creative minds – and what opportunities do they see here for the future of business, culture and local community?
The results of the work will be presented towards the end of the week, and everyone is welcome to hear the students' suggestions.

The event is open to everyone – business, politicians, students, and residents who are curious about how the next generation thinks about Risør.

Beyond Risør is an annual design event that brings together students, professionals and the local community to explore new opportunities in design and entrepreneurship. The project was started to create a creative laboratory where future designers can have the opportunity to work on real-world challenges in a local community.
The project has always been about challenging the existing and coming up with creative solutions. The participation of students from different backgrounds has helped bring a diverse approach to the projects.

Beyond Risør has always been about promoting creative solutions to real challenges, and this year's workshop promises to be an exciting continuation of this vision. If you want to experience how creative minds can see new opportunities for Risør, you should definitely head to the Town Hall on November 20th.
