As we now round off 2025, we on the board of Risør By AS would first and foremost like to say thank you very much for the support and patience you have shown throughout a year that has been anything but straightforward.

‍

The last six months have been marked by uncertainty. At the same time, we are happy to say that things have now fallen more into place. Risør City Council has decided to allocate NOK 400,000 in 2026, and NOK 200,000 per year or more in the period 2027–2029. As well as NOK 200,000 to Visit Sørlandet.

So a big thank you to the city's politicians who continue to support us going forward.

‍

This gives us important breathing space and a better starting point for building stable operations in the coming year – and to make Risør City better equipped to support you as shareholders.

‍ ‍

The board looks to 2026 with optimism. With more predictability, we can once again use our energy on what we are really there for: collaboration, activity in the city center, and further development of Risør as a year-round town.

‍ ‍

We would also like to invite you to continue this work. Good, constructive input and honest feedback are important as we look ahead and plan the next phase for Risør By. Do not hesitate to get in touch – either with small input or larger thoughts about the way forward.
